Andy is a very thoughtful and insightful person. He is well-respected and I highly recommend him.
I had the privilege of taking a leadership class taught by Andy Ortiz as part of my education at Arizona State University. Many of the principles taught by Andy remain some of the more valuable lessons that I learned throughout my college experience. Andy invests himself in what he does and made it a true joy to show up each day, ready to participate and learn something new. There is a difference between doing something to make money, doing something because you like it, and doing something because you are passionate about it. In my time in his class, it very quickly became clear that Andy is passionate about what he does, and has an absolute commitment to those he is teaching.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Andy for 16 years. From the day we met I have found him to be warm, honest and caring. A natural leader and motivator of people, but the important thing for me is, it wasn’t a show to impress me. 16 years down the road, he’s still the same great guy.
I remember Andy speaking to our legislative district Democrats a few years ago–I was very struck by how inspirational and motivational he was and his gift for framing objectives in a personal and positive manner. (It stuck in my mind for a very good reason)
These sessions are powerful, timely and practical in their application. Andy has the ability to make complexity simple and applicable.
Andre Koen, Mayo Clinic
Andy and I worked together on a proposal for a project that I hoped to benefit the community I was living in at the time. I admired his passion, his enthusiasm and his expertise. He has great people skills and can get to the heart of what makes people tick. He’s a very supportive coach and using information gleaned from our coaching sessions, I felt empowered to take steps towards the project that I may have never considered had he not been hearing me out. He was instrumental in assisting me with networking with others in the community to reach other goals that I needed to support my efforts. I value Andy’s wisdom and the learning relationship we shared.

Corey Woods, Deputy Chief Operating Officer at ASU Preparatory Academy
Please accept this statement as my whole-hearted endorsement of Andrew. I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew in building a stronger community over the past few years.
I first heard of Andrew in the late 1990s – about the time I began my own personal leadership journey. Back then, Andrew was already a legend in the Hispanic business and civic leadership community. Having served as ASU’s student body president, and having served on a number of nonprofit boards, Andrew had built a strong reputation as a can-do community leader.
In 2011, I got to work closely with Andrew. I was a member of the Center for Progressive Leadership program. Andrew was one of the faculty members. It was in this class that I got to see Andrew in action. I found him to be engaging, compassionate and completely dedicated to community service. Since then, our paths have crossed many times as we both share a deep commitment to improving our respective communities.
It is my great honor to recommend Andrew.
Lorenzo Sierra, Councilman at City of Avondale, Arizona
